Kelpie Wilson and her Biochar Handbook

Biochar expert Kelpie Wilson has compiled over 15 years of experience into a new book, The Biochar Handbook. The Ring of Fire biochar kiln, which has sold over 1,000 kits, is her baby. Kelpie is also co-founder of the US Biochar Initiative, the national program to advance biochar.

In light of these fine accomplishments, we invited Kelpie to our radio show on September 30 to talk about biochar and answer questions from the listeners.

Kelpie leads a monthly discussion group about diverting forestry and agricultural waste to biochar, called Biochar In the Woods. There is also an open international listserv hosted by IBI and USBI for all aspects of biochar research and application, which is attended by all the big names in the field.
